FedEx API Enhancement – New One Rate Extra Small Box Option
We’re pleased to announce an enhancement to the following FedEx APIs that expand the FedEx One Rate® packaging portfolio:
- Ship API
- Service Availability API
- Rates and Transit Times API
What's new
The Extra Small Box is now available as a valid FedEx One Rate packaging option. Customers can use the new enumeration value FEDEX_EXTRA_SMALL_BOX with FedEx Express shipments using One Rate pricing.
Why this matters
This update provides greater flexibility for shipping smaller items using FedEx One Rate, offering a simple, predictable flat-rate option without the need to weigh or measure packages under 50 lbs.
Key Details
- Applies to FedEx Express shipments using FedEx One Rate
- Uses FedEx-provided packaging only
- No changes to existing API integrations are required
