FedEx API | FedEx Developer Portal Release Notes

We are pleased to announce our most recent enhancements to FedEx APIs and the FedEx Developer Portal. This release offers new FedEx API features and updates to enhance your customer experience.

List of enhancements included are:

  • FedEx Surround® monitoring and intervention (MI) and Healthcare Identifier (HCID) -Ship, Rate and Service Availability APIs
    FedEx Surround® monitoring and intervention (MI) and Healthcare Identifier (HCID) are special services that help proactively monitor the shipments, mitigate risk, and provide intervention support to protect healthcare shipments, please contact your FedEx Account Representative to enable HCID and MI special services. (Available in Sandbox starting now. Coming soon in production March 2024)

  • Postal Code Requirement for Chile- Postal Code Validation API
    FedEx is always committed to providing the best possible service and optimizing processes to facilitate international shipping. Effective April 1, 2024, the correct postal code will be required and validated for shipments to/from or within Chile.

  • FedEx Express Domestic Services for EU region
    FedEx offers new domestic services for customers in EU region and APAC with a broader portfolio of time-definite domestic parcel and freight services. Your new services will replace the current FedEx® Priority Overnight service and will give you more flexibility, convenience, and control. This is as we harmonize our domestic portfolio with our international services. You can soon choose between: FedEx First, FedEx Priority Express, FedEx Priority, FedEx Priority Express Freight, FedEx Priority Freight. These new services will be available in Malaysia beginning in March. Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden and France beginning in April and in Thailand in beginning June.

  • FedEx Developer Portal new landing page
    The new FedEx Developer Portal home page enhances user experiences by providing easy access to important information. With the increasing set of capabilities, our new home page guides users on the right paths to quickly find resources. The revamped home page streamlines the developer experience and promotes better utilization of FedEx's APIs.
