Maintenance Notification – Advanced Integrated Visibility Webhooks
Purpose
FedEx will perform a scheduled infrastructure upgrade to the Webhooks platform.
Maintenance window
- Start: June 6, 2026 - 7:00 pm CST
- End: June 7, 2026 - 12:00 am CST
- Duration: Approximately five hours (full window will be used)
Impact
During this window, FedEx inbound API requests will be unavailable, including:
- Creating new webhook configurations -
POST /webhook/v3/subscriptions - Updating webhook configurations -
PUT /webhook/v3/subscriptions - Adding account numbers -
PUT /webhook/v3/subscriptions - Adding tracking numbers -
POST /webhook/v1/subscriptions/trackingnumbers/syncassociation - Canceling webhooks -
PUT /webhook/v3/subscriptions/cancel/{webhookId} - Retrying missed events -
POST /webhook/v3/retry - Performing FedEx Developer Portal UI actions and equivilant API actions (update, retry)
Temporary disruptions
- Customers might see intermittent HTTP 503 (Service Unavailable) or HTTP 404 (Not Found) responses.
- Disruptions will be brief — typically less than 15 minutes per endpoint.
Webhooks deliveries will not be affected
- Existing webhook configurations will continue delivering shipment tracking information.
- All webhook event deliveries and shipment status notifications will function normally.
- Existing webhook subscriptions will remain active.
Limitations during maintenance
New tracking numbers or account numbers cannot be added.
Recommended actions
- Monitor API activity during the maintenance window.
- Retry any requests that fail with HTTP 503 or HTTP 404 responses.
- Notify relevant team members.
After maintenance
- Infrastructure upgrade status will be shared after completion.
- Service functionality will be verified and confirmed.
