API Validation
Validation is a mandatory step for some APIs before they can be utilized in the FedEx production environment. The process determines if your implementation meets a number of requirements to achieve the safe, secure and effective operation of your solution in the FedEx production environment. Differing levels of review may be required depending on the API.

FedEx Shipper
A company who builds a direct FedEx API integration for their own shipping needs, using only their own FedEx account number(s) not as a third-party logistics provider. Integration for a single company's application that is not intended for sale and/or distribution to another company.
FedEx Integrator Provider
A company who needs to integrate with FedEx APIs to build a solution, application, or plugin that can be sold and/or distributed to an external organization that uses FedEx and provides logistics services to other customers.
